Cellulite Treatment FAQs
What is cellulite?
Essentially a feminine phenomenon, cellulite results from a
build up of fat in the adipocytes ( sub cutaneaous fat cells), and
the retention of water in the surrounding areas. As the adipocytes
continue to grow, their envelopes containing them lose their shape
and pull on their cutaneous anchoring points, giving the skin it's
"orange peel" appearance.
At this stage, the main problem is that the process is self
sustaining as a result of a reduction in blood circulation, causing
in turn stagnation of the metabolic waste, nutritional
impoverishment and congestion of the connective tissue, which
looses its elasticity and becomes fibrous. This unsightly condition
results in cellulitic areas that are unresponsive to physical
exercise and to the strictest slimming diets. Luckily here at
Transform we have 2 types of the very latest treatments available,
Endermologie technique using the CACI LPG system and technology
using radio frequency.
What is it good for?
Endermologie is a unique non -invasive technique for shaping the
body, slimming and improving overall skin fitness. Endermologie is
an easy and comfortable alternative to liposuction, body wraps and
messy creams. It is an amazing solution to the problem of
cellulite.
The use of Radio Frequency in treating cellulite is a revolution
in the market in treating this once hard to treat condition. Radio
frequency is the use of deep heat which penetrates the tissues
where it tightens collagen and stimulates new growth.
What are the ideal specific skin conditions it treats?
- Cellulite reduction
- Reduction of body
circumference
- Increase in skin tone improvement and skin
radiance
How is it done?
Endermologie is non-surgical and non-invasive. The dramatic
improvement to the look of the skin is also attributed to the deep
stimulation of the circulation. It brings a massive surge of blood
and oxygen to the affected areas and increases the lymphatic
drainage of stagnant toxic waste. Most clients describe the
treatment as similar to a deep body massage.
Using the CACI LPG system patients will be given their own
personal body stocking, which needs to be brought along to each
session. You will wear your body stocking as one of our friendly,
discrete and able practitioners gently glides the rollers over your
body, concentrating on affected areas.
Using the radio frequency system patients have an
odourless, colourless gel applied to the area to be treated prior
to applying the deep heat via the treatment heads.
How long will it take?
Treatment times may vary depending on how many treatment areas
and the total surface area treatment and the type of equipment
being used. Typical treatment time ranges from 30-60 minutes.
What kind of results are expected?
Most patients achieve noticeable changes in contouring and skin
tightening after a couple of sessions. Treatments are performed
once or twice weekly. Following a course of treatments maintenance
sessions are needed to maintain the results of the course.
How soon can I go home?
Immediately.
What is the process if I go ahead?
Simple call one of our friendly advisors who will arrange an
appointment for you.
Can I combine other treatments with cellulite treatment?
These treatments do not have any detrimental effects when
combined with other therapies.
Are there any side effects?
Using Radio frequency there maybe some pinkness to the
skin and the areas feel warm for a short while after a completed
treatment session. Normal activities are resumed the next day. Some
patients may experience bruising in the treated areas, especially
if they are prone to bruising easily.
With the CACI endermologie system there should not be any
noticeable side effects.
How do I arrange to have cellulite treatment?
The first step towards undergoing cellulite treatment is to book
a free consultation with a member of our friendly, expert team. At
a consultation, you can expect to see a patient care co-ordinator,
with whom you will have plenty of opportunities to ask any
questions you may have about the procedure. The consultation will
take around from 30 mins to an hour, during which time you will not
be given the ‘hard sell’. No pressure will be put on you to go
through with the procedure, and you will not be forced to make a
